This state really made its motto into action when they have chosen to break away from the Union. With an approximate population of 4,479,800 in 2008 and ranked 24th among the U.S. states, South Carolina is taking the whole to state to a new level of development and career elevation.

South Carolina developed a prosperous textile industry in the earlier part of the 20th century. In 2007, there was a major drop in the textile employment. At the same time, the state has changed cotton to more profitable and viable crops in their agricultural fields. They have also attracted and established tourism industries.

Most recently, the state also attracts European manufacturers. With all these changes and developments, the rate of violence is relatively low in South Carolina.
